How do I get to the hotel?

From the port of Harlingen, take the Rederij Doeksen ferry to Terschelling.For more information about the ferry service, please go to www.rederij-doeksen.nl.Hotel de Walvisvaarder is situated in the village of Lies, approximately 10 kilometres from the harbour of West Terschelling.There is a frequent bus service from the harbour square, which takes all visitors to Terschelling to wherever they are staying. Hotel de Walvisvaarder has its own bus stop right outside the hotel.When the ferries arrive at the harbour, there are also taxis available from the harbour square.

The journey to the hotel takes approximately 25 minutes by bus.You can either use your OV chipkaart (public transport smart card) or buy a ticket from the bus driver for approximately €2.50 per person.By taxi or car, the journey to the hotel takes approximately 15 minutes.A taxi from the harbour to the hotel costs between €20 and €25.Unfortunately we do not transport luggage to and from the hotel.The hotel has free parking facilities.It is also possible to charge your electric car with us.
