• Are pets allowed?

    Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our hotel rooms.

  • Is smoking allowed in the Walvisvaarder?

    Our hotel rooms are non-smoking. Do you have a hotel room with a private outdoor; balcony or terrace, you may smoke there. Our restaurant inside is non-smoking, on our terrace smoking is allowed on a part of the terrace.

  • Is free WiFi available?

    Yes, we offer free WiFi throughout the hotel, including the rooms and common areas.

  • Is our hotel wheelchair accessible?

    Our hotel is partially wheelchair accessible. Our main entrance and restaurant are wheelchair accessible. We also have a disabled toilet.

  • Parking and charging the car

    You can park for free on our parking lot behind our hotel. It is also possible to charge your electric car.

  • Bicycle shed and bicycle rental

    We have a bicycle cellar, where it is possible to store and charge bicycles.

  • Is breakfast always included?

    Yes, with us breakfast is always included in your stay. You can enjoy our breakfast buffet in the restaurant every day, which is served from 08:00 to 10:30.

  • What are the cancellation conditions?

  • What are the check-in and check-out times at the Walvisvaarder?

    Our official check-in time is 14:00. You are always welcome earlier, if the room is ready you can check in earlier. You can always leave your luggage with us. You can check in with us until 23:00. We do not have a 24-hour reception.

  • What is the difference between the most common room types?

    The 'Comfort rooms' are our smallest rooms, these do not have an outside. These are all located on the first floor. Some are accessible by elevator and some are accessible by stairs. The bathroom has a shower. There are no coffee/tea facilities in the room and no refrigerator.

  • In which room types can extra beds be added?

    Extra beds cannot be placed in the 'Comfort rooms'.

  • Do I need to make a reservation for the restaurant?

    When you have booked an overnight stay including dinner, the reservation is made automatically, at check-in you will be asked what time you want to be at the table. If you have not booked dinner, you can make a reservation at the reception, in the restaurant or online

  • Can I indicate a special diet or allergies?

    Yes, if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know in advance when you make your reservation. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and may offer alternative dishes.

  • Are there facilities for meetings in the hotel?

    Yes, we have a unique multifunctional room that can accommodate up to 45 people. This room is ideal for meetings and presentations etc.
